Lighter Load - June 2026

Planetary ingress for Chiron and Jupiter this month, make it a turning point for many a situation, and empathy is the order of the day.

1st - 4th June: Mercury Ingress Cancer and Trines North Node in Pisces

Soothing words that carry emotional weight are the order of Mercury’s arrival in Cancer, on the first day of June.  Mercury here is far softer and could have us thinking of times gone by, and wondering what might have been.  This is the ’shoulda coulda, woulda’ that tugs at the heartstrings.  Any sensations arriving will be worth investigating, since Mercury then tugs at the North Node destiny point on 3rd June inviting us (especially anyone with planets or angles at the beginning of a sign), to use the library of past events and emotions to re-boot your sequel to the best times in your life.  When Mercury squares Neptune the next day on 4th, the fantasy of what could have been or could be, is the incredible film rolling through your head and don’t let anyone tell you it isn’t possible.

9th - 10th June: Venus Conjunct Jupiter @ 25’ Cancer

Keep dreaming, and keep feeding the fantasy, because on 9th and 10th of June, the lovely planet Venus meets up with Jupiter, the planet of expansion.  These two benefics are bound to bring an elevated sense of life’s great mysteries and your place within it.  We ought to be basking in the sentimental reverie and feeling empathy with our fellow man, whilst the world at large also has a surge of concern, which could resolve some of the traumas we have lived through in recent years.  Staying close to home will pay dividends and bring extra comfort.  These two days really do add sweetness to wherever 25’ Cancer is in your chart.

13th June: Venus Ingress Leo

Venus in Cancer may have taken you a step too far into woeful sentimentality, but as Venus ingress Leo, the mood is going to change.  No more maudlin, or being tied to the past, now Venus is giving you the chance to look ahead to brighter and more appealing vision of what is possible.  Looking back, you can assess how things got messy, and now Venus helps you find your chutzpah and an inner assurance that you can create something better for yourself.  Venus in Leo is the time to demo your best self, a kind of ‘dress for the job you want, not the one you have’, as you level up and see how it gets noticed by the right people.

15th June: New Moon @ 24’ Gemini

We’ve got all the chutzpah with Venus in Leo, and now the pzazz of the Gemini New Moon, which is bound to stir the pot of life.  This New Moon is the ‘meet and greet’ winning moment for next level connections, and also finding fascinating and useful information and even thinking up crazy plot twists that make a sensation - or a million.  A Gemini New Moon could be tricky as difficult situations have a higher chance of turning freaky, but you have to see this as a game of chess.  Think strategically about your next move and let the Gemini Moon forces help you develop relevant and interesting plans with the right people.

19th June: Chiron Ingress Taurus

Chiron ingress Taurus on the 19th is one of the big shifts happening this year, as the Wounded Healer leaves Aries, where he has been inspiring our personal healing journeys since April 2018.  So this focus on our own trauma or ‘stress mess’, plus the rise in ADHD or neurodivergence cases (not to mention autism), has been highlighted in the last eight years because Aries rules the self, our ego, and also the head and its workings.  As Chiron moves into Taurus, this focus on various therapies to address mental conditions will now switch to the body.  And not just ‘our’ body, that of mother earth and all her inhabitants.  Like the rise in veganism as Uranus entered Taurus, I predict a rise in hot saunas, cold plunges, river swims, massages, hiking, camping, working to stay fit, in all very physical and mostly outdoor ways, where we use nature’s forces to get our body to respond.  It is the antithesis of the ai conditioned human.  Chiron in Taurus promotes the idea that our body holds the score, and everything with it, every time we connect to the natural world, creates our physical health and stamina.

29th June: Mercury Retrograde @ 26’ Cancer

At the end of the month the changes start to go deeper as Mercury goes retrograde in Cancer on 29th, retracing the same slippery steps that Jupiter has retrograded through in the last year.  We are again, analysing our emotional landscape and perhaps our parenting, or parents.  In the last year Jupiter opened the lid on domestic matters so that we could see what needed work, and now in this retrograde, Mercury is bringing us back to check any advancements that were created during this time,  Perhaps they could be refined in the sensory world of Cancer, and this could be the clean up job we need to let go of outdated paradigms that we were clinging to.

29th/30th June: Full Moon@ 8’ Capricorn

You might be feeling drained or overwhelmed at this juncture since Cancer retrogrades do require some emotional engagement and this is a long standing situation.  However as Mercury gets into reverse gear, the Moon becomes full in Capricorn, and nothing gets things moving in the right direction like a Capricorn Full Moon.  This is a date for planning how you are going to delve into these familial or domestic matters, and setting out a structure or guidelines will make the emotional journey more manageable and perhaps bring in some wealth.  Prioritise your success at this point, for any improvements you are prepared to make are bound to flourish.

30th June: Jupiter Ingress Leo

To cap these last two days of June, Jupiter, the planet of expansion and gifts moves into the dramatic and loving sign of Leo and this brings an energising blast to warm our hearts.  Situations won’t feel so heavy and tiresome with Jupiter here for a whole year, and this is plenty of time to shed any binds or sentiments you have outgrown.  Jupiter in Leo is all about making yourself feel good, or at least noticing other people who are ahead of you in whatever game, so that you can emulate them.  Fake it, until you make it, is the rule from now on.  Jupiter in Leo delivers a massive expansion of the heart and as such, there is a huge chance for falling in love or at the very least, putting your heart and its full generous expression at the centre of things.
