July 2026 - Sparks Fly

Sparks are flying this month as the air signs take hold of our minds, to deliver ground breaking thinking.  Will this blow our minds or provide the creativity we need to sing our song.  Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune and Pluto, the outer planets are active this July, forcing generational upheaval as the winds of change blow in.

3rd - 4th July: Mars Conjunct Uranus @ 3’ Gemini

Wow.  Something here with fighter Mars and crazy Uranus together in Gemini, is going to to be revealed that has the potential to blow our minds.  In the collective, this could open the lid on the machinations behind ai, data centres and the increasingly digitised world, and, or possibly news affecting the lives of our children; maybe banning children from social media, or more shockingly exposing child grooming and trafficking via the internet webs.  The two days of 3rd and 4th of July are definitely sparky.  You could use this energy to write your thesis or create your best pitch for a top client.  It is super creative, but has the potential to frazzle nerves and trick the mind into avoidance and escapism with distracting narratives, so use it wisely and carefully.

7th July: Neptune Retrograde @ 4’ Aries

Now that our brains have been blown wide open, here comes a Pandora’s box of magic as Neptune turns retrograde at 4’ of Aries, representing mankind and our egos.  Neptune is about to draw us deeper into the delusion of our lives, and where we go deeper into mind sets and ideas about who wea are, we also possibly come to realise other possibilities.  In this wonderment, miracles can happen as we open up to our own divinity on Neptune’s turning.  This is a portal of fragrant essence, like the fairy queen waving her magic wand as we stand by in disbelief.  However the belief is crucial if we really want our dreams to happen.  And as this retrograde station occurs on the 4 degree spot of Aries, it enlivens all of the other 4 degree spots in the zodiac that are going to be lit up throughout July (and especially on 25th July when Neptune and Pluto are in an exact sextile).  Do check what planets or angles you have at this degree and get ready to be impressed and amazed in whatever theme of life it resides.

9th July: Venus Ingress Virgo

Venus has been in Leo giving us all a taste of chutzpah, drama and loving.  Now when she moves into Virgo, your love may go cold but the precise analysis of Virgo here is going to give you better boundaries and more thorough discernment.  Venus in Virgo does the weeding for you, even if you were getting used to the warmth and balm of her lazy leonine playfulness.  See it as a sense check of your values so that you can align more fully in what is right for you.

14th July: Mercury Cazimi @ 20’ Cancer & New Moon @ 21’ Cancer

A Cancer New Moon is meant to increase our empathetic feelings not just to anyone, quite specifically to our familial situations, and this New Moon is no different, but it will want you to take accountability for whatever emotional mess is on the table - even if it isn’t yours.  This might sound like a mountainous chore, but since Mercury goes cazimi the day before, we will have extra powers of softness and a readiness to give good comforts to those we love in need of support and nurturing.  This new flood of emotional depth and intelligence may empower your senses and is bound to enable a new, kinder consideration of old traumas that now need dismantling.

17th July: Uranus Trine Pluto Rx

Now Pluto is in action this month, and he sits at that 4’ point I mentioned.  On 17th July, Uranus newly in Gemini (and just after the conjunction with Mars), will make an exact trine to Pluto in Aquarius, representing society and our future.  Uranus is a little chaotic and Pluto is deeply intense, both requiring an evolutional transformation of who we are as people and how we might think.  Enter ai obviously.  However this is more than just a passing influx of mental arithmetic that the air signs bring as the two are making this exact trine four more times over the next two years.  We hardly know how this will turn out, but they will be transforming our collective and individual consciousness to something beyond this current understanding of reality, and it starts here.  More mind blowing experiences are on the cards.

22nd & 23rd July: Sun Ingress Leo and Mercury Direct @ 16’ Cancer

Leo season begins on 22nd July (already 23rd in Australia) and since Mercury goes direct the very next day, we will feel the shift, bringing a new certainty and confidence as Mercury gathers speed and reassurance to our emotional world.  This gives us a more solid framework to stay heart centred and good natured, and not let the proletariat bother us. Win win.

26th July: Saturn Retrograde @ 14’ Aries

Keep this feeling of good will to your fellow men and stay true to your goals, as only a few days after our Leo happiness upgrade, Saturn the more serious and restrictive planet, goes retrograde @ 14’ Aries.  Not everything can be sunshine and roses in Leo season and this makes sure we do not forget our duties to commitments and ourselves.  For some, this paves a tired path of responsibility, but realising a positive attitude will lift any heavy weight will make Saturn look upon your chores more kindly and he is the guy that pays dividends, so look sharpish for the boss.

29th July: Full Moon @ 6’ Aquarius

The Full Moon at the end of the month is a deepening of the malaise at the heart of society right now, as the Aquarius Moon is conjunct Pluto, the dark Lord of the subconscious and the death processes, which we all must go through.  This Moon will heighten the disquiet that we all have for factions of society that we don’t agree with, but know are here to stay.  This heralds deep and lasting change for the world, and this is set agains the Sun which is exact with Jupiter at 6’ in Leo.  This is the David & Goliath moment, where heart sense gathers, courage rises, the nobility inside each of us cries out to reclaim the powers that have been taken away.  This might not be revolution, a quiet swell of sovereignty in each of us has awoken, and will not be quashed so easily.  This is your moment to fly your freak flag and show everyone what you are made of.
